You have a story you believe about who you are. It may be that the circumstances of life make you feel like you are not in control of your own story. As a therapist, my passion is helping my clients, who include children, adults and families, to reclaim their stories for themselves. Each client can come to perceive themselves in a healthy way and to find within themselves strengths and skills which allow them to thrive. I am a trauma-informed therapist trained in a variety of approaches, and use an eclectic framework in therapy because no single approach is the right one for every individual.
My educational background includes an MA in Clinical Counseling from Lincoln (IL) Christian University, and a Master of Divinity from the Mennonite seminary in Elkhart, IN. In my undergraduate study I took in lectures at King’s College, London, UK on Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. I am a trained EMDR Therapist. I have extensive experience with foster care and adoption, and raising children with disabilities.
